This was a passion project from my boss at Toyhax. He made a mock-up and showed it to me, saying it felt like something was missing... The Legacy Tarn mold has a head based on the symbol that was itself based on Soundwave, the chest piece resembled Buzzsaw - the bones were there! So we brainstormed together and found a design we loved. I reconfigured the accessories to form his shoulder cannon, added style elements emblematic of bombastic 90s toys, and brought over recognizable motifs from the Soundwave we know and love, like speakers and equalizers!
